Residential Summer Coaching Camp-2017-18 from 8th to 28th May 2017

SAAP is proposed to organize the Annual Summer residential coaching camps for the year 2017-18 in the selected Districts of the State for a period of 21 days to all the talented sports persons in the state. This is to access and select the candidates into 'State Sports Academies and Sports Schools' in the age group of below 15 years,16 to 18 years in open selection trails and for the selected games to identify the talented players. SAAP has sanctioned. Rs 1,57,25,400/- for organizing the Annual Residential Summer Coaching Camps for the year 2017-18 in the 10 selected Districts of AP for a period of 21 Days from 8th to 28th May 2017 in 15 Disciplines.


General Guidelines/Modalities for conduct of the program have been prepared and submitted as under:

The DSA will invite the applications from state vide in the disciplines through press note, circulars,Whatsup,Facebook,Twitter etc., to DSAs, State School Games Federation & concerned State Associations

The concerned DSAs will identify the players in the age group of years below 15 years and16-18 Years as on 31-12-2016 who are eligible to participate in the RGKA/Khelo India competitions for the year 2015-16 & 2016-17

The concerned DSAs will request the State School Games Secretary and concerned State Association Secretaries to provide the list of the players who have represented the state in the national competitions in the concerned age group.

Any outstanding players on way from above competitions will be considered.

The SAAP will constitute a selection committee with the concerned disciplines State Association secretary or his nominee and state school games, federation secretary or his nominee to select the children /Youth to undergo residential training.

Battery tests, Skill tests will be conducted before final selection.

The list will be short listed by the committee constituted and the same will be intimated to the concerned DSAs/players to attend the Residential training.

Preparation of play fields and procurement of equipment will be done by the concerned DSAs by the following the existing norms of the SAAP.

One Physiotherapist is posted at every Residential coaching camp

Providing of the accommodation to the players, coaches arranging of boarding facilities at the coaching venue will also done by the concerned DSAs

Safety, security and Medical facilities will be done by the concerned DSAs with the help of the District Administration.

The DSDO shall invite the Top players of the State those who have represented the country to inspect the camps in between and to interact with the campers.

Audio/Video visuals may be incorporated in coaching whenever it is requests, wherever it is possible. These classes are compulsory. The coach will be finalize the Videos before starting of camps.

At the end of the camp inter coaching competitions/competitions with local teams shall be organized compulsory to assess the impact of the coaching camp .

The opening and closing ceremony will also done by the DSAs by inviting Honourable Minister for Sports, Other Honourable Ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs , District Collector & Chairman and DSA Superintendent of Police and Vice Chairman State/District association members and school games federation officials

The selected players will be provided the following:

Second class train + one/ express bus ticket from home town to camp venue and back ( on produce of ticket only)

Free accommodation and boarding facilities during the camp days

One track suit, playing kit and shoes Participation certificate, etc.

Total about 1400 sports persons who won medals will be trained in SAAP residential coaching camps for the year 2017-18
